WHY YOU SHOULD STAY IN NASS CONTRACTED HOUSING
Each year NASS contracts a block of rooms at a variety of hotels for the participants of the Annual Meeting. In order to secure sleeping rooms at a lower rate, NASS must guarantee that a certain number of those rooms are filled by meeting attendees each night. If we fail to occupy these rooms, NASS is forced to pay a fee to compensate the lost profit of the hotel. Not reaching our guarantees at the hotels not only will cost NASS but the members and attendees as well. To compensate, NASS would have to raise the registration fees for the meetings, spend less on member services and have limited space at future destinations to convene our Annual Meeting. To allow NASS to continue to add value to the meeting, it is imperative that participants of the NASS 23rd Annual Meeting stay at contracted hotels.
If you have any questions regarding NASS Housing, please contact the NASS Housing Bureau at 416-203-2500 or 866- 371-0398, or via e-mail at lcowell@torcvb.com.
HOW TO RESERVE YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS
Meeting registration must be completed and processed in order to reserve hotel accommodations. NASS will continuously check the housing list to make sure that those with reservations are also officially registered. NASS reserves the right to cancel housing reservations that do not meet this criteria
Hotel reservations must be made through the NASS Housing Bureau. Reservation methods are as follows:
- Online: Housing link will be provided once your meeting registration is processed and paid.
- Telephone: 416-203-2500 or
866-371-0398
The hotel room reservation cut-off date is
September 12, 2008.
Hotels will not and cannot accept
reservations directly. Reservation hours
via telephone are 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
The only hotel rooms that can be reserved are the hotels that are in the NASS Housing Block listed below. Hotel reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Hotel reservations are subject to room availability and the discounted rate may not apply after the cut-off date. There are instances where the room block will sell out prior to the cutoff. If the housing block does sell out, NASS will try to secure another hotel for our attendees. This is not a guarantee since it is based on rates and availability within the city of Toronto at the requested time. Meeting registration must be completed and processed in order to secure hotel room accommodations.
