 About the Course
This hands-on course emphasizes diagnosis and operative treatment of cervical spine disorders, including decompression and stabilization techniques for both anterior and posterior approaches.  The course is a blend of didactic lectures, demonstrations, panel discussions and substantial dissection time.  The faculty is made up of experienced academic spine surgeons from both orthopaedic and neurosurgical programs around the country, working with you in an interactive learning environment.

Credits: 13.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits


Audience: This course is restricted to physicians of the following specialties to ensure an optimal learning environment for all attendees: Orthopedic surgery, Neurosurgery, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain management. No exceptions will be made.


Upon completion of this course, participants will gain strategies to:

  • Review various forms of cervical degenerative disease.
  • Cite the issues concerning patient selection for different surgical procedures.
  • Develop skills in anterior and posterior operative techniques.
  • Recognize major complications in cervical spine surgery and discuss preventive and treatment measures.
