Note: To ensure an optimum learning environment for all attendees this course is restricted to physicians of the following specialties:  Orthopedic surgery, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management.  No exceptions will be made.

Course Description:
This two day course explores common and challenging injures to the cervical and thoracolumbar spine. Critical issues with regards to elderly patients with spine injuries, evolving technologies and junctional spine trauma will provide additional thought provoking discussion to the nuts-and-bolts treatment lectures. The hands-on laboratory sessions feature a demonstration by the expert faculty and all attendees will be given hands-on time with multiple devices.

 

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Classify patterns of spine trauma with respect to treatment.
  • Evaluate and recognize variations in treatment as well as areas of special challenge in the spine trauma patient.
  • Advance technical skills in treating the spine trauma patient.
