The Spine Advocates Program is the grassroots advocacy network of the Association through which members and their patients can take advantage of advocacy training and assistance, as well as get plugged in to opportunities for action. The Association helps facilitate Spine Advocates’ attendance at meetings with key officials, testimony at hearings or hosting candidate fundraisers.
The state-of-the-art online Legislative Action Center allows Association members and their patients to research health care policy at the state and federal levels and contact their elected officials with the click of a mouse. Key legislation with the potential to impact members and their patients is highlighted and action alerts direct users to hot-button issues where their feedback can make a difference.
