NASS Advocacy relies on the grassroots actions of its members and their patients to expand the reach of its message and influence lawmakers to support sound health care policies. Members and their patients can take advantage of advocacy training and assistance, as well as, get plugged in to opportunities for action through NASS’ advocacy alerts and Health Policy Review publication. The Association also helps facilitate members’ attendance at meetings with key officials, testimony at hearings and hosting candidate fundraisers.

The state-of-the-art online Legislative Action Center allows members and patients to research current health care policy initiatives and contact their elected officials with the click of a mouse. Key legislation with the potential to impact members and patients is highlighted and action alerts direct users to hot-button issues where their feedback can make a difference.
