  • Commercial Affiliate: Individual not eligible for NASS membership who is a subscriber to the Commercial Affiliate Program.
  • Commercial Business: Nonclinical professional with interest in spine field but does not treat patients.
  • Nonmember Affiliate Health: Employed by a hospital, healthcare network, university or free-standing facility administering to patients (e.g. DC, PA, NP, RN, PT).
  • Nonmember In-Training/Resident/Fellow: Must provide a letter on letterhead from program director to (630) 230-3709 or submit via email. See policy below for more information.
  • OnDemand Recordings: The session recordings are free to attendees in-person and virtual attendees.

Media Registration & Guidelines

Welcome! Each year NASS brings together leading spine authorities representing a multidisciplinary community of spine specialists at its Annual Meeting. The onsite Press Room will include a media-only work area with complimentary beverages, device charging stations, and printer access. Credentialed journalists can participate in the continental breakfast and lunch breaks with conference attendees.

Friday, October 1 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Only conference staff, credentialed media and presenter interviewees will be allowed in the press room. Members of the media, advertising staff and exhibitors cannot host meetings in the press room. Please visit spine.org for our latest releases and news.

Members of the media covering NASS 2021 are required to sign and submit a copy of the registration form, and email it to Jeff Karzen.

NASS reserves the right to refuse media credentials to any individual at its discretion.

Only persons registered for this meeting are admitted to the education sessions and meals. Badges must be worn at all times to gain admittance to all official NASS functions. Counterfeiting, copy or sharing badges, or using a Guest Badge when he/she is not eligible to do so is expressly prohibited, and doing so may result in removal from the meeting and/or revocation of NASS membership.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via mail or email and postmarked on or before September 2, 2021 to receive a refund less cancellation processing fee(s) of Conference $125; One-Day Registration $50; Hands-On Workshop $75; and/or Instructional Course. Registrations are not transferable and there are no substitutions. 

NASS reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or modify course/meeting locations, speakers or content at any time and for any reason. For these reasons, registrants should not purchase nonrefundable travel accommodations. NASS s not responsible for costs associated with cancelled travel. Written, verbal or fax notice of cancellation will be given within five (5) working days of the actual date of the program whenever possible.

Registrations are not transferable. Email or call (630) 230-3600 to modify your registration (e.g., add a ticketed course or guest, or edit spelling of name). These modifications are not available online.

The courses are for physicians only. If you register for a hands-on course and are not a physician, your registration will be cancelled and your credit card credited the payment amount.

As always, exhibitors will have devices to scan their badges to receive contact information.

To receive resident and fellow pricing, please email or fax a letter on letterhead from your program director to (630) 230-3709 with your program status. If you are not in our database, please create a new contact. If you created a new contact, email registration notifying our team that you faxed the letter.

Specifically relating to the global COVID-19 pandemic, attendee acknowledges the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assumes the risk of exposure or infection by attending the NASS 2021 Annual Meeting, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, disability, and/or death to attendee. Attendee understands that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at the NASS 2021 Annual Meeting may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of others who may attend the event or their families, colleagues, or others with whom they may have contact.
