Contemporary Management of Spinal Tumors

Burr Ridge, IL

Starts: Fri 3:30PM (May 03, 2019) Ends: Sat 4:00PM (May 04, 2019)

Advances in Medical and Radiation Oncology have significantly increased the life expectancy of patients with metastatic disease over the last two decades.

This has led to a dramatic increase in the number of patients with Metastatic Disease to the spine, presenting to Surgeons. Operating on complex metastatic disease is no longer the exclusive realm of the Academic, but has become the domain of all Spine Surgeons in North America. This course, designed for Spine Surgeons and Oncologists, will equip Surgeons with the decision making and technical skills to face these complex cases with more confidence. Oncologists and Surgeons will both gain a better understanding of each other’s role and capability in treating Metastatic Disease.
