This course will present the latest advances in surgical, medical and radiation oncology in the treatment and management of spinal tumors. Expert faculty will lead interactive, case-based discussions as well as provide an understanding of the importance and benefits of multidisciplinary communication and collaboration. Attendees will explore the latest techniques and technology and surgeons will have ample time to practice advanced surgical techniques in the hands-on skills lab taking place on Saturday, May 14.

What You'll Learn

Understand the role of radiation and medical therapies for spinal tumors

Describe the indications for surgery and recognize spine oncologic instability

Counsel patients appropriately regarding survival, complications, and risks associated with surgery using available evidence

Understand various surgical approaches and their technical advantages and limitations

Our Policy

Meeting Cancellation: NASS reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or reformat (including to digital form) programs due to circumstances beyond its control or close registration when programs are oversubscribed. For these reasons, registrants are advised against purchasing non-refundable airline tickets. NASS is not responsible for penalties incurred as a result of cancelled transportation fares, hotel reservation policies or Visa rejection/refusals.

Attendee Cancellation: Cancellation must be submitted via email by April 22, 2022 to receive a full refund less cancellation processing fee of $175. Registrations are not transferable and there are no substitutions.

Health Guidelines: If health guidelines change in Illinois, I will be required to adhere to all health guidelines accordingly. Guidelines may include, but not limited to, facial masks, social distancing, attestation to being fully vaccinated or will have a negative COVID-19 lab results within 72 hours of meeting arrival.
