NASS memberships are on a calendar-year basis (January 1 – December 31), and renewals are due by December 31 for the upcoming year. NASS provides members with a grace period until April 1 to renew without suspension of membership and loss of benefits.

USPS Informed Delivery

Members in the United States enrolled in the USPS Informed Delivery program who receive digital previews of their mail can renew NASS membership directly from their digital preview when membership invoices are mailed to the enrolled address.


Tax Deductibility

A portion of the dues you pay to the North American Spine Society, an IRC 501(c)(3) organization, is allocated to the National Association of Spine Specialists, an IRC 501(c)(6) organization that engages in lobbying activities to advocate for the highest level of spine care. Dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution, but may be deductible as an ordinary business expense, except that 8% are allocated to lobbying activities and therefore not deductible for the 2020 membership-year. No portion of your dues are contributed to Spine PAC for distribution to political candidates. See your tax advisor for further information.

*Memberships are on a calendar-year basis (January 1 through December 31); dues in future years will be billed in early-October for the following membership-year (ex. 2021 memberships will be renewed in October 2020) and members signed up for auto-renewal will receive a receipt at the primary email address on file with their NASS membership when their dues have been paid. Dues for the current year of membership when automatic renewal is initiated will be processed within one month. To sign up, you must log in to your NASS MyAccount (your username is the primary email address on file with NASS and your password defaults to your NASS ID number until changed in your MyAccount).
