Did you know that NASS has a sizeable number of members living in Italy representing both surgeon and non-surgeon professions?
These Italian spine care professionals who are NASS members will now be served by the new NASS International (NASSi) team
, so be prepared for exciting new programs and activities designed to support your continuing professional development and your career.
You may have seen the newly launched electronic newsletter - NASSi Connect
, which aims to keep you updated with what’s going on in our global community. If you didn’t get it or see the early issues please contact Rachel Wasson (firstname.lastname@example.org
) so we can get you on the list! You really don’t want to miss out!
Our goal is to create a multi-professional community of Italian members, and connect them to our multi-professional spine care communities across the globe.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that on 11 May, Dr Edward J. Dohring (President NASS) and Dott. Bernardo Misaggi (President SICV & GIS) signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two organizations. Unfortunately, the signing ceremony was virtual, however, we plan to re-stage it in October at the NASS Annual Meeting in Chicago, so we will publish the pictures!
This agreement will provide the foundation for these two societies to start creating and executing a range of exciting new value-generating programs for NASSi members domiciled in Italy.
To get this cooperation going, the first thing NASSi will be doing is creating an NASSi Italy Chapter
, so we will have a vehicle to build our Italian multi-professional community. Creating an informal chapter will provide opportunities for local members to be elected to the “Chapter Senate” and to lead the development and implementation of local programs.
The chapter’s Senate will engage with the SICV&GIS to design activities that are most relevant to our Italian members. Please be prepared to engage with the NASSi Italy Chapter and help us to bring NASS closer to you!
We have big plans for Italy, and our strategic agreement with the Italian Spine Society is just the start that will bring new NASSi engagement and career opportunities for you.
You’ll be hearing a lot more from the NASSi team so stay tuned and be ready to get involved!
