NASS Low Back Pain Guideline Endorsed by External Societies


NASS’ Evidence-Based Clinical Guidelines for Multidisciplinary Spine Care: Diagnosis and Treatment of Low Back Pain, released January 2020, has been endorsed by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) and American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons (AANS/CNS). The NASS Evidence-Based Guideline Development Committee received the following official statements:
  • The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) endorses the NASS Evidence-Based Clinical Guidelines for Multidisciplinary Spine Care: Diagnosis and Treatment of Low Back Pain.  
  • Reviewed for evidence-based integrity and endorsed by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
The electronic copy of this guideline remains available free to the public at https://www.spine.org/Research-Clinical-Care/Quality-Improvement/Clinical-Guidelines. A hard copy will be available soon to purchase at http://www.spine.org/shop. The official letters of endorsement can be found in the Technical Report associated with the guideline document.
