Due March 31: ORS Clinician Scholar Career Development Program (CSCDP) Applications


2023 ORS CSCDP APPLICATIONS DUE MARCH 31, 2023

The North American Spine Society will sponsor one NASS member to participate in the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) 2023 Clinician Scholar Career Development Program (CSCDP).

NASS’ 2022 sponsored CSCDP participant, Eren Kuris, summarized his experience at the event last year in the January/February issue of SpineLine.

What is the CSCDP? The CSCDP is an annual two-day workshop designed to support and educate young orthopaedists interested in pursuing careers as clinician scholars. The workshop sessions focus on topics such as building blocks for a successful clinical scientist (scholar) career, research collaboration, resources and opportunities for research funding, and work-life balance. Who can apply? Orthopaedic residents in their PGY2-PGY5 years, surgeons in fellowships, and junior faculty (through year three) who have the potential and desire to become orthopaedic clinician scholars. To be eligible for NASS sponsorship, applicants must indicate NASS membership on the application.

When and where will it take place? September 21-23, 2023 in Rosemont, Illinois. 

What does sponsorship cover? The participant sponsorship will cover the costs related to the 2023 CSCDP including two nights hotel, round-trip economy airfare, ground transportation and all meals during the dates/times of the program.
