NASS Advocacy Action Alert - MPFS Reimbursement Cuts

Congress is back in session and NASS needs your help. CMS recently issued its long-awaited 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) proposed rule, and in order to comply with budget neutrality requirements, physicians and nonphysician health care professionals are now facing harmful payment cuts.

Despite already practicing in a strained health care system, spine care providers are now bracing for  harmful payment cuts which could exacerbate financial hardship and jeopardize patient access to medically necessary care. To help ensure spine's long-term recovery post-pandemic, NASS is calling upon Congress to enact legislation that waives the Medicare PFS budget neutrality requirement prior to January 2021. Please reach out to your elected officials today and urge them to provide critical reprieve for spine care providers facing substantial payment reductions in the coming months.
