The Spine Journal's Editor in Chief Position

The Spine Journal and the North American Spine Society are seeking candidates for the position of Editor in Chief (EIC). The committee is searching for an individual of national stature with demonstrated academic and educational achievements. Candidates should be members in good standing of NASS. Experience as an editor, deputy editor, or editor in chief is highly desirable. The position requires a significant time commitment (40 hours per week), proven administrative expertise, and commitment to detail. Compensation is commensurate to that offered by other journals.

The EIC position is a five-year appointment with optional five-year renewal. The successful candidate will work with outgoing Editor in Chief, Eugene Carragee, MD, in 2018 before assuming the EIC role for the January 2019 issue of The Spine Journal.
