The International Award was presented for the first time in 2025 to recognize international NASS members who contribute significantly to research, clinical practice, or Society service. The inaugural International Award was bestowed upon

Want to Nominate a Colleague for 2026?
Nominations for 2026 Recognition Awards are now open at
www.spine.org/awards and will be accepted until March 31, 2026. Formal letters of recommendation are no longer required at the time of nomination, and a new online nomination system will make nominating colleagues easier than ever in 2026.
Award winners are reviewed by the NASS Governance Committee and approved by the Board of Directors. If your nomination becomes a finalist, you will be asked to submit a formal letter of recommendation. 2026 awards will be presented at the 2026 NASS Annual Meeting, October 14-17, 2026, in San Antonio, TX.
