Jeffrey Roh, MD to be Keynote Speaker at NASS Innovation Summit

Dr. Jeffrey Roh

The NASS Innovation Summit, held June 11-12 in Rosemont, IL, will explore the business and innovation lifecycle of medical technologies, helping you move your cutting-edge products and ideas to market. The Summit brings together innovation pioneers and experts to help you discover your personal roadmap to success!

The keynote speaker at the Summit will be Dr. Jeffrey Roh, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of IntuitiveX. He has over 20 years of experience as an inventor, angel investor, and serial entrepreneur, and holds multiple patents through the USPTO. After his minimally invasive IP was acquired by Stryker in 2009, Jeff was instrumental in the development of ES2, one of Stryker’s most commercially successful minimally invasive spine systems, as well as their marquee lateral access platform, ARIA, and helped Stryker generate over $350M in revenue over a seven-year period.

His experience as a serial entrepreneur includes the successful launch, scalable growth, and ultimate acquisition of Advanced Biologics’ OsteoAmp platform to Bioventus (BVS) in 2014.

Dr. Roh shares his expertise during his keynote presentation, ‘From Brainstorm to Breakthrough: The Spine Surgeon’s Playbook for Building Scalable Innovation.’ Dr. Roh will discuss how taking an idea from concept to commercialization in MedTech is inherently labor intensive, tediously difficult, and financially expensive. His journey from spine surgeon to serial entrepreneur illustrates how ideas can evolve from early brainstorming into successful healthcare ventures.

Drawing on his training and education, early experience commercializing intellectual property with industry partners, and scaling companies such as IntuitiveX, Dr. Roh will highlight key inflection points—including IP strategy, disciplined execution, and the role of “exponential innovation” in accelerating FDA pathways. Through case studies like Carlsmed, Amplify Surgical, and AltPep, he will demonstrate how strategic investment in intellectual property, team building, and market insight can create outsized value.

Dr. Roh will deliver his presentation on Thursday, June 11 at 3:30 p.m. For more information about the Summit, how you can pitch your own medical innovative ideas, read about other innovation experts in attendance, or to review the Meeting Program, visit www.spine.org/INS.
