The management of patients with spinal column tumors is complex and benefits from multidisciplinary communication and collaboration. Expert faculty will present the latest research, advances in techniques and technology at the course, Contemporary Management of Spinal Tumors
, held April 26-27 in Burr Ridge, IL near Chicago.
This course, developed in association with the NASS Section on Spine Oncology, is designed for spine surgeons and physicians eager to update their knowledge on the latest advances in surgical, medical and radiation oncology as they relate to the spine. Moving away from the traditional format of didactic lectures at surgical courses, the course will be highly-interactive, with case-based discussion emphasizing specific topics. Participants will explore common diagnostic and treatment questions. Unique to this course is the opportunity for surgeons, oncologists and radiation oncologists to discuss various multimodality approaches to spinal tumors using the best evidence.
Surgeons will be able to practice advanced techniques for stabilization and reconstruction during hands-on lab sessions.
