The NASS Annual Meeting gets underway this week with NASS Members, along with thousands of spine professionals and representatives from industry, convening in Chicago to experience the latest spine education, research and innovative technologies. The meeting runs September 25-28 in Chicago at McCormick Place.
This year’s
meeting program features surgical, medical and multidisciplinary topics presented through symposia, abstracts, best paper presentations and special sessions. World renowned spine experts will inspire discussion, debate and collaboration on today’s hottest topics in spine. The new
President’s Symposium features leaders in spine and key federal agencies discussing current health care challenges and roadmaps to a successful future. There will also be sessions designed specifically for
early-career spine professionals to assist them in making the transition from their residency/fellowship to a successful spine practice. A special symposium and luncheon on Friday,
“Women in Spine” addresses the challenges women face during their training to become a spine surgeon.

Research & Innovation Showcase, featuring dynamic and informative presentations, allowing attendees to hear the highlights of cutting-edge spine research and innovation presented by leading researchers and academic experts worldwide. Featured will be RapidFire ePoster Presentations—fast-paced and informative 3-minute, non-CME podium presentations; Research Grant Award Abstract Presentations of the latest research in spine in studies conducted by NASS Research Grant Award recipients; and Innovation Presentations that explore the future of innovation in spine from techniques to technologies presented by the NASS Section on Innovative Spine Research & Novel Technologies.
The
Surgical Stadium returns with leading surgeons demonstrating the latest techniques and technology from industry. And the
Technical Exhibition will feature industry demonstrating the latest innovations in spine, allowing attendees to get hands-on with new technology.
The NASS Annual Meeting is the perfect place to network and collaborate with colleagues from around the globe and this year’s meeting will have ample opportunities to socialize.
