In June, Clarivate released its 2024 Impact Factors for peer-reviewed journals, and for the first time ever, both of NASS’ journals made the list.
The Spine Journal (
TSJ) remains a top 10 orthopedic journal for the third year in a row and continues to rank in the first quartile for clinical neurology. Its 2024 impact factor is 4.7, making it the top-ranked spine journal in the field and placing it ahead of other general orthopedic heavyweights.
In just its fifth year of publication,
NASSJ has received its first Impact Factor: 2.5. This places the journal in the second quartile for both orthopedic and clinical neurology categories. It’s an impressive debut for a journal this early in its publishing life.
NASS offers its sincere thanks and congratulations to the Editors in Chief, Christopher Bono, MD (
TSJ), and Jonathan Grauer, MD (
NASSJ), for their leadership, hard work, and vision. Congratulations also extend to the dedicated editorial boards and reviewer panels, as well as the hundreds of researchers whose contributions elevate NASS’ peer-review journals.
You can be a part of the journals’ continued growth by submitting your research to
TSJ or
NASSJ and contributing to our 2025 Impact Factors.
