This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Section on Intraoperative Neuromonitoring within the North American Spine Society. Over the past decade, the section has grown into a multidisciplinary community dedicated to advancing patient safety and surgical outcomes through neuromonitoring.

Along the way, the section has contributed meaningfully to NASS through annual meeting symposia, educational podcasts, webinars, and Ask the Experts videos, as well as publications in The Spine Journal, NASSJ, and SpineLine. Members have also developed Coverage Recommendations and partnered with NASS on educational programs in Dubai, Antwerp, and Melbourne. None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our founding members and the many volunteers who have generously given their time and expertise over the past 10 years.

As intraoperative neuromonitoring continues to evolve, the section remains committed to education, collaboration, and advancing best practices in neuromonitoring spine care, and fostering the next generation of leaders in the field.

We invite NASS members with an interest in neuromonitoring to join the section. Membership offers opportunities to connect with colleagues, contribute to educational initiatives, and help shape the future of the field.
