Comprehensive Coding Update Course to be Held in Nashville on April 4-5

Join NASS on April 4-5 in Nashville for Coding Update 2025, a two-day comprehensive and highly interactive course, addressing the latest coding changes and essential information. You’ll be equipped with proper documentation and coding knowledge in order to receive appropriate reimbursement along with valuable information for navigating the authorization process.

Coding Update covers CPT coding for spine surgical, medical, radiologic procedures as well as E&M coding.

Highlights include practical tips to ensure payment on initial submission, thereby decreasing time spent on appeals and denials for both Medicare and private insurers, correct utilization of both 22000 and 63000 codes, operative report coding and documentation, correct use of modifiers, and the ever-important coding for telemedicine, which is now significant. Other focuses include new E&M coding and documentation guidelines, up-to-date information on health care legislation for pre-authorization, Medicare cuts, and other news that affect coding and reimbursement.

Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with physician faculty who lead NASS’ CPT, RUC, and reimbursement efforts; examine real life cases and perform operative note dissection in the hands-on coding sessions; participate in an interactive panel discussion, which will explore claim denials and tips to avoid them with leading experts in the spine coding industry; and attend either an advanced breakout session delving into complex surgical case coding or a basic breakout session identifying anatomy and terminology in spine care.

Coding Update will be held in the popular location of Nashville, TN.
