NASS Launches New Podcast Series

The North American Spine Society (NASS) Early Career Advisory Council is excited to launch a new podcast series which brings together leaders in spine care with their mentees for candid, insightful conversations about building a meaningful career in spine. Each episode explores personal stories, career-defining moments, and invaluable lessons that shape leadership, innovation, and growth in the field. Listeners will hear from a dynamic cross-section of leaders—including neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, physical therapists, and researchers—as they reflect on the experiences and relationships that have defined their paths.

Episodes feature speakers including:
  • Christopher Bono, MD
  • Julie Chan, MD, PhD
  • DJ Kennedy, MD
  • Justin Lantz, DPT
  • Avinash Patwardhan, PhD
  • Daniel Resnick, MD
  • Alexander Vaccaro, MD, PhD
  • Jeffrey Wang, MD
In the first episode in this series, The Mentorship Relationship, Julie Chan, MD, PhD and mentee Brandon Lucke-Wold, MD, PhD, MS explore how mentorship and personal passions guide career direction, the transition from mentee to mentor, and what work/life “balance” means to her.
