Facilitating a successful discussion in a small group setting requires acknowledgment of crucial factors that will encourage interaction and active participation.
Module 6 of the NASS Online Faculty Development Program, titled “Managing Small Group Discussions,” focuses on the role of group discussions in the learning process. Participants will learn principles behind effective group discussions, discover techniques to stimulate meaningful dialogue, and develop strategies to manage participant dynamics while clarifying key learning points. The module is presented by John France, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon from West Virginia.
This 7-part course is free to NASS members and available to all members and nonmembers in the medical field. Upon completion of the course, 1.75 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits will be awarded.
