During NASS 2024 in Chicago, much of the programming on Friday and Saturday has been developed for residents/fellows and attendees early in their careers. View the
Early Career Itinerary to learn more about these sessions and networking events.
Prior to the dedicated Friday/Saturday early career programming, attendees can stop by the NASS Resource Center on Thursday from 4:00-5:00pm to learn about the resources available through NASS and the Early Career Advisory Council. Following this Early Career Q&A, an Early Career Reception will be held from 5:05-6:05pm, where invitees, including Early Career Advisory Council members, residents/fellows, and program directors, can network over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Friday's schedule includes several educational opportunities starting with an invite-only interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine advanced bioskills lab for ISMM fellows. Early career professionals will also benefit from the roundtable discussion on building a spine practice, where they can engage with seasoned professionals in informal discussions. The day continues with a lively debate on fellowship training and concludes with a Research “Shark Tank” session, offering a unique platform for researchers to pitch their studies to journal editors for feedback.
Saturday's events will include another Early Career Roundtable Discussion focusing on working with partners and a comprehensive primer on navigating the Fellowship Match process, providing attendees with valuable insights for advancing their careers.
