Held before the NASS 2023 Annual Meeting, the highly interactive course, Coding Update, takes place Monday and Tuesday, October 16 and 17 in L.A. The comprehensive course will address CPT coding for spine surgical, medical, radiologic procedures as well as E&M coding.
Expert coding faculty will share practical tips to ensure payment on initial submission, thereby decreasing time spent on appeals and denials for both Medicare and private insurers, correct utilization of both 22000 and 63000 codes, operative report coding and documentation, correct use of modifiers, and coding for telemedicine. Other focuses include new E&M coding and documentation guidelines, up-to-date information on health care legislation for pre-authorization, as well as Medicare cuts.
Attendees will leave the course with proper documentation and coding knowledge in order to receive appropriate reimbursement along with valuable information for navigating the authorization process.
