Upcoming NASS Webinar to Address Bertolotti Syndrome: Interventional and Surgical Evaluation, Management, and Treatment

Bertolotti Syndrome is an underrecognized cause of chronic low back pain associated with a lumbosacral transitional vertebra (LSTV). Because the condition is often overlooked, and the available literature remains limited, patients may experience delayed diagnosis and inconsistent management. On September 15, 7-8pm CT, NASS will present a webinar addressing a wide range of topics on Bertolotti Syndrome.

NASS multidisciplinary faculty will provide an overview of the evaluation and treatment of Bertolotti Syndrome, including clinical presentation, patient selection, imaging considerations, interventional pain management, psychosocial factors that influence outcomes, and surgical treatment strategies. Webinar participants will gain practical approaches to improving recognition and individualized management of this complex condition.

Topics covered include:

  • Intro & Clinical Presentation of Bertolotti Syndrome
  • Common Patient Demographics
  • Interventional Treatment Options
  • Psychiatric Treatment of Complex Chronic Pain Patients
