Applications Now Open for the 2025 Class of SpineLine's 20 Under 40

20 U 40

The SpineLine Editorial Board is excited to announce that applications and nominations are now being accepted for the 2025 class of 20 Under 40. Now entering its 8th year, 20 Under 40 recognizes young spine professionals who are making remarkable contributions in spine care through their clinical work, research, service, and leadership.

The 2025 application form includes questions designed to help SpineLine’s Editorial Board seat a class that represents the best of the new generation in spine care. Applicants are asked to provide details about their professional background, leadership roles, key accomplishments, and contributions to the spine care field. The answers to these questions not only guide the selection process but also serve as the basis for the honorees’ profiles, which will be featured in the November/December 2025 issue of SpineLine.

For members over the age of 40, NASS encourages nominations of exceptional colleagues who demonstrate leadership and innovation in the field. Nominations can be submitted via the 2025 nomination form.

Members of the 2025 class will be on the guest list for a young spine professionals’ reception and will have their profiles in a digital display at the 2025 NASS Annual Meeting in Denver.

Applications and nominations must be submitted by March 31, 2025. To be eligible for consideration, applicants need to be current NASS members in good standing who were born on or after January 1, 1985.

20 Under 40 alumni have gone on to serve in prominent roles within NASS, including as committee chairs, members of editorial boards, and even on the NASS board of directors. This recognition program has been instrumental in identifying and fostering the future leaders of the spine care community.
