It may have come to your attention that two nominators submitted a letter to CMS on January 16, 2024, regarding the valuation of osteotomy codes. When NASS became aware of the communication to CMS, NASS engaged in discussions with those individuals regarding our respective views.  The nominators are in agreement on the following points:  First, the January 16, 2024, letter sent by them is solely their opinion and does not represent the views of NASS.  NASS does not endorse nor share in the views expressed by these individuals. Neither of the nominators currently serve in any capacity with NASS and therefore have no authority to express any view or opinion on behalf of NASS.  NASS, along with other societies, will issue a separate statement to CMS clarifying their position as to osteotomy codes.  Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
