Ethics & Professionalism

NASS has taken an aggressive role in ensuring that its members are fully informed of their ethical obligations, the definition of and issues surrounding conflicts of interest, and the need for full disclosure. We continually strive to “raise the bar” for ethics not only within NASS but in the entire field of spine care; to that end, our policies are constantly being reviewed and strengthened.

Our Commitment to Ethics

The NASS Committee on Ethics & Professionalism (CEP) advises NASS leadership on the latest research regarding issues of disclosure, ethics, and professionalism, including the regular maintenance and revision of NASS’ policies in these areas. The Committee stimulates information, papers and education for the membership on issues of ethics and professionalism in spine care. Additionally, members of CEP contribute regularly to a column devoted to ethics in SpineLine.
