Professional Conduct

NASS actively strives to lead by example and offer guidance to membership in the realm of ethics and professionalism. We encourage members to conduct themselves with the highest level of professionalism and integrity and feel it is the duty of NASS to hold members that have been found to have engaged in unprofessional or unethical conduct accountable for said behavior/s.​ ​​

What We Do

The Professional Conduct and Ethics Committee (PCEC) reviews complaints and holds hearings on unethical and/or unprofessional behavior and makes recommendations to the board of directors for resolution of those issues.


For Our Members

The PCEC program allows the committee to pursue complaints against NASS members only by other NASS members. NASS members are stringent in policing one another. If a member behaves in a manner unbecoming to the profession, one of his NASS member colleagues will likely report him, at which time we will be able to investigate his conduct pursuant to the Code of Ethics.


Process

The PCEC is a formal process that strictly adheres to the procedural guidelines, complaints that do not follow protocol will not be considered or reviewed by the PCEC.
